Introduction to D&D

I’ve never thought of doing this when someone asks me about D&D.

It’s brilliant, honestly. Deborah Ann Woll, you are my new DM spirit animal.

Please go check out the full interview on Jon Bernthal’s channel, it’s called Real Ones. They both seem like such genuine people, and it’s a wonderful chat.

  1. 100% She nailed it! And I am so impressed with her. The amount of the time it takes to create a character and do all the set up can lose a new player. Skipping all that and jumping into the action of DND is the best intro. Then if the player likes the game, they can take the next step. I actually keep about 3-5 pre made character sheets ready to go so that a new player can jump right in and if they like the game, they can create their own later or just make that premade character their own. They name it, etc .. Deborah is awesome though! Her ability to jump right in and make it instantly intriguing is incredible. She is soooo good!

  2. That is actually genius, most I've talked to have just been afraid to start from the beginning and dunno what to do or how to play.

Throw them in a quick very simple scenario where nothing but voices and charades are needed. I love this, dnd is so many more things than just a ttrpg
