Until you know what to say, when to say it, how to say it, and what exactly the words you say reveal, don't talk. "Hi, I'm [Name]" sounds harmless and polite, but you just gave away yourself, your sire, and anybody looking into you further might be able to guess why your here and what they can leverage out of you.

The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.
"The best strategy for new vampires for attending the vampire council where vampires gather to discuss vampire affairs is to talk as little as possible" is 100% true and grounded advice informed by the lore and lockstep with the tone of the setting, but if it's not handled well by the ST and experienced players, it can go very poorly in a number of ways in my experience.
Look pretty have your affairs in order and keep them damn mouth shut unless someone important talk to you and even then only when you have to
