No, the worst part of this is that if you fail using the boosts, unless there's a savestate, you won't retrieve them. Or even worse if you save and load and they still get consumed.

in-universe, this is how you become one of those shopkeepers selling magic items.
When you use them and still die, so now you don't have them anymore.
I just don't like that it's only temporary so I don't bother, no I do not know the logic behind this thought process either
