Free droid was the first RPG I played on linux. I love it. Still play through it from time to time.
a great open source shooter game is openspades, basically the maps are made out of blocks however unlike minecraft your guy is 3 blocks tall and nlocks don't float meaning that destroying the bottom of a structure can make it fall over and break, this game has no pay to win and is completely skill based with veteran players having the same guns as newer players,has tonnes of modes(capture the flag,babel tower,zombie apocalypse,free build,and a mode very similar to CSGO as well as other modes that I can't bebothered to type out) also…free! https://gamejolt.com/games/openspades/46984 there is the link
If you do another one of these videos, would you consider reviewing AnyRPG (anyrpg.org)? It is an open source RPG engine project that attempts to bring AAA features to the average developer by enabling complex game mechanics like those found in modern MMO games to be configured using the Unity ScriptableObject system. It includes a sample game with about 3 hours of playtime if you don't skip all the quest text.

Path of exile is a good rpg game which has a HUGE skill tree, its similar to diablo 3 and runescape – but does take quite long
There's also an open source engine called OHRRPGCE. It is distributed with a public domain asset pack.
