Garrys mod is the only true RPG. Like Half Life roleplay servers
Ive always had a problem with rpg definition
Because many game like u mentioned tw3 which is one of best
But is no near an rpg as lets say bg3
RPG recommendations (no), poor man's RPG recommendations with Pixel graphics
I am surprised you didn't mentioned Divinity Original Sin 2…
Well your wrong!!!
Nonsense.
Wrath of the Righteous is the freaking pinnacle for me. Has its issues but boy am I happy I got it
My introduction to "CRPGs" was summoner for the ps2. Havent played deadfire though i did beat Pillars one. And im still pushing through pathfinder kingmaker. (Its a pity i chose mage as my first character class. Being teamed up with a gnome sorcerer and a halfling bard for the first emcounters, lead to so many one shot deaths of my party due to enemy crits)
I also 100% origins back in its initial release. And it's been rough seeing bioware in its current state. I dont see how dragon age can be salvaged. Just pretend the 4th game; whatever it was gonna be called, doesnt exist.
Good list though.
No mention of Tyranny and Alpha Protocol? Bad video.
Well, my english is not that good so I didn't understand half of the games you said '-'
8:26 reminded me of the classic oblivion dialogue lmao. I think I just might play this game.
Deadfire needs more recognition i need to see a poe3
Fallout3, Fallout NV & Fallout4
Skyrim
Oblivion
Two Words 2
Mass Effect Trilogy
Vampyr
Mutant year zero
YS Lacrimosa of Dana
YS Memories of Celcetta
These are just a few of the recent RPG games I have loved after discovering for the first time and most of them on this list, I still play today !! Without having to list a bunch of stuff from the late 90s from the original PlayStation and then moving forward to the Dreamcast and so on, these are some great titles that came out within the last three consoles generations!
Another fun one for you guys out there looking for something for your Xbox 360 that might not have got as much love back in the day as it should have because it launched with some heavy hitters to compete with:
Two Worlds 2
This game is way deeper than I thought it would be and while the graphics struggle to hold up as good today, it is still an amazing game with quirky/cheesy voice, acting cool and a very in depth, combat and magic that rivals that even elder scrolls, single player games !!!!
Check it out
One that a lot of people that are pressed for time might enjoy due to its characters, graphics and atmosphere that a lot of people skipped out on:
Mutant year zero: road to Eden
this game right here is a tactical strategy/stealth action/grid based RPG similar to fire emblem, except for the fact that prior to a fight, you move your characters around with full control, wild in stealth, and you go around the battlefield, looking for resources and trying to lure enemies that are outside of their other teammates vision, as well as their circle of hearing which will be on the ground… as soon as they are right outside of their teammate, being able to hear them or see them, then you use your characters with their strongest stealth weapons to surprise attack these guys and pick them off one by one before you attempt the group!!!!
It is such a fun game, and one that will not require you to have the next six months, every single day free to dedicate to that game…. you can beat it in about 30 hours or less and the characters, the voice acting, the graphics and everything are just really catchy and enjoyable!!! It'll take you back to your childhood because like I thought "I would've really enjoyed this as a kid?" "This would be an awesome TV show.!?"
Cant walk on Pathfinder: WoTR. i hate tha
I really want to like BG3 and similar games, but I simply can't handle managing more than one or two characters. I've had the very same issue with old-school games like BG1, simply not my kind of thing I guess. What I want from my CRPGs is a simulacrum of the experience playing a TTRPG, and I do not play several characters in TTRPGs. I get that AI is a big limiting factor, but I could really use some input from the companions at least. Let them show me how they want to level up, what pieces of loot they might want, chime in to remind me they can do the task at hand better than my PC. Am I asking for too much?
no age of decadence or colony ship?
I absolutely loved orgins…it was just amazing..so sad that inquisition was such a disappointment
DOS 2 ?
Other games with ACTUAL Roleplaying that's not on the list
1.) Torment : Tide of Numenera
2.) Divinity OS2
3.) Arcanum
4.) Vampire the Masquerade Bloodline
For me BG3 is the first game to surpass DA:O, Larian didn't just come close but they surpassed peak Bioware in my opinion and I highly doubt we'll see anything close any time soon if ever again. I also know that especially the third act of BG3 is still pretty rough around the edges but considering what they did with DOS2 I believe Larian will polish that part as well given some time.
u should play dishonored it is my favorite rpg ever
0:45 – For my money, putting a human baby in an oven would classify as evil in The Witcher 3 ;P
Did you say 'theevling'?
