Is it me or is MlpRPG much more complex and fun than ToE?

The Renegade RPG definitely requires a lot more page-flipping for character generation. It's a bit of a pain. What struck me about Tails of Equestria is that it runs much like a streamlined and simplified Savage Worlds game.
From my experience, the players look like Fluttershy on the cover for the MLP RPG when you show the sheet. While they react like you'd expect from a "Friendship is magic" game when you show the Taiks of Equestria sheet
