I had 7 days to make a multiplayer Backrooms horror game in a $1,000 game dev competition… despite the fact that I do not make horror games (and I definitely don’t enjoy being scared)

In this devlog, I build a cursed ’80s synthwave backrooms arcade in Unity, wire up proximity voice chat, dynamic lighting, a flashlight system, a janky-but-fun interaction loop (pick up / throw / yeet everything), and a scent-based enemy AI for Flopsy… the creepiest bunny mascot you’ve ever seen. Then the judges play it…

  1. you shoulda made it that when you win the game and go up the elevator while its closeing flopsy runs at it then it closes then flopsy bangs on it silence happens and then it breaks throught
