I think somethimes it's very good, best it kills boredom when people have free time and when they want to do something different and if feel every age group of people and couples should do this. As games (specifically good and complex real life games), do help to enhance people's brain powers, cognitive and motor skills, and dicision making skills too, but shall be done moderately like only when when people have free time and they are bored like hell and want to enjoy quality time while doing something interesting.
Like one time I remember when I was in Darjeeling or gangtok I saw few Indians and some foreigners and some of what can I say the nepanis or the assamese or some people at a very grown up satate of their life like that playing games may be because they wanted to do something interesting and together. But that was fun to see them enjoying that way.
