I never watched alien, but i bought the books on fantasy grounds on a whim taking advantage of a sale, started reading the lore and got hooked, watched the movies, loved them, i saw the physical edition and is so beautiful i had to get one, you're hurting my wallet, but totally worth it… 10/10 would eat rice for a month again 😛

Just ordered the core rule book and starter set. So pumped to kick this off!
I got this game at launch. It's honestly very good and well made. I am glad when a developer puts honest effort into their licensed game and doesn't just coast on IP. This could have gone the route of so many TRPGs nowadays and been a 5e hack. But, no, the developers considered what made sense, put serious thought into making a game where the mechanics reinforce the narrative, made their own original system and produced a quality product. Very pleased with my purchase.
I thought this was a Playstation or Xbox-game until I clicked the link and realised it's a board-game!! LOL! I thought: now this might just be the game I buy a playstation for, only to realise that's not it at all!!

This is such an amazing game. I cannot wait until there is a longer campaign to scare players in. The stress and personal agenda mechanics keep everyone on edge and that is before the Xenomorphs are discovered.
One of my players with zero experience with the Alien movie franchise summed it down to "So its like Call of Cthulhu in space?" to which I could only reply yes (and then grinz evilly).

Quick tip: This system is easily adpatable to play a The Thing inspired RPG.
