I used to do this with catch phrases. My Barbarian liked the wizards style so his war cry became Bibbity Bobbity Boom mother fkrs.
That's actually really sweet, I love it
That's just cool.
This is what I do
That reminded me of an idea I had before, it isn't the same, but I thought of an orc who gets raised by elved and becomes an archer, but it's constantly screaming what he does beating the purpose of staying away by atracting everyone's attention
That’s just my School of Spirits Bard.
Cook my brother, spit your shit indeed
Orpheus
FINALLY, THE NECRODANCER!
Seriously, Why do bards not get necromancy? I've been wanting to make a necromancy bard for ages.
HOLY S*IT, YOU ARE A GENIOUS!
I kind of did this with a Shadow Magic Sorcerer before. She was a very driven, inquistive, and distrustful spy working for a local noble. Had basically everything you'd expect from a Rogue sans combat, with lots of illusion spells to augment it. I believe she was mistaken for a rogue a couple times even.
On the Bard note, Tashas gave Bards Summon Undead. Add in Magical Secrets and there's no reason a Bard couldn't be a necromancer.
Can i use this
Wait that's sick
I really love the idea of a barbaric or uneducated lord/governer. A man who traveled up the feudal heirarchy by his strength, put into a position of social intrigue and careful descison making within his fief.
This is more interesting when said lord is illliterate (or completely unintersted in writing), and has scribes to read and write all documents, letters and the like. You can use a more common accent and even have him swear like a commoner, get enraged at his subjects for complicating conversations with jargon, and pick fights at royal gatherings with more "sophisticated" tenants.
Sounds like my Sage Background Half-Elf Librarian that spent the first half of his life poring through historical tomes. Instead of taking the obvious turn into Wizard, he met a Hermaeus Mora analog and signed a pact on the spot so he could keep reading rarer and rarer tomes.
I love playing characters who have an innately evil thing that fight against it because theyre a good person (basically dark urge in bg3 with a good aligned character – which i refuse to play again after the first time when the teifling gets alt-f4ed)
I have a friend that justified a barbarian bard by describing it as a tribal war shaman from a mountain clan and he would use the skins, bones and skulls of his enemies to make instruments. Sometimes just banging corpses or body parts against things to a rhythm.
Lets see… Barbarian Palandin?
Its an angry teenager that had been groomed from birth to rebel against the king and take over the throne by brute force. Miraculously they did notice in time it was manipulation from their mother and rebelled, running away from home and trying to get as strong as possible to come back and get some kind of payback.
They effectively act like a Barbarian: hit first ask questions later, angry and lashing out as a kind of trauma response and protecting their friends as a dragon protects a hoard of gold.
Did I do this right?
Edit: grammar
I love this character idea
That’s the coolest idea I’ve heard in a bit!
